Expert Witness
CES expertise in all aspects of architecture, engineering, and construction has been called upon by attorneys, general contractors, insurance companies, building owners, and design-builders to provide expert witness services in California, Virginia and overseas. CES performed independent evaluations of various phases of projects and reported their findings, which were used to facilitate resolutions of disputes between the various parties. Examples of types of cases done:
- Flood zone determination (EPA vs. insurance company).
- Quality of design work and construction meeting current codes for a design builder.
- Restaurant owner vs. contractor payment and developer.
- Builder vs. manufacturer of construction equipment meeting basic OSHA standards.
- Subcontractor vs. contractor in terms of work delay, quality of construction, costs, and scheduling.
